The Workstations are the systems used by 'the agents' i.e. the people in the 'back-office' who are transmitted to serve the visitor or customer, over distance, from a remote location. The type of workstation depends on your requirements and expectations. In any case, training is not required : learning how to work with the system literally takes a few minutes.
Do you want your agent to appear in the other location with 'aligned eye contact' ? As you have been able to ascertain, when using video-chat, video-conferencing or telepresence : it is not possible to look each other into the eyes. This is because the camera is placed outside the display area (for instance on top of the screen). Teleportel offers Workstations whereby that eye-contact does get aligned perfectly and your agent will look your visitor or customer straight into the eyes. That makes a big difference when it comes to establishing rapport and gaining trust. Eye-contact is the most basic and oldest communication method of humans.
Working without dedicated workstations
…is perfectly possible, using Windows 10 or Mac oSX. In this case we recommend to use an external camera Logitech C920 for a crisp and clear image and good audio. It is of course also possible to use headsets. Your agents can be in one place or in many places, anywhere in the world. An internet connection suffices. We want to emphasize that all the communication is securely encrypted and we have many tools and techniques to ensure security of the highest level.
These are the dedicated Stations which will ensure that you will appear in the best possible conditions - either in 2D or in 3D - and always with genuinely aligned eye-contact. The 2D or 3D refers to the way, the agent will appear in front of the visitor/customer. The Agent sees the visitor in 2D.

Genuine eye-contact is very important when it comes to personal communications: it establishes rapport and conveys trust. We have a range of solutions, that will enable you to ‘look your customer straight into the eyes’. All the workstations deploy some sort of eye-contact alignment mechanism.
The 'Workstations' are used by the ‘Service Agents’, who are providing the service to the Kiosk User, from their remote location. The Agents can appear in front of the Kiosk user either in 2D or in 3D. This depends on the Workstation and on the Kiosk. In all cases, will the agents appear with aligned eye-contact.

Connecting with many locations
The i2i-CAM™ will allow your agent to establish video connections with many different locations and kiosks. It could not be easier than this : it suffices to click a ‘connect’ button, corresponding with the respective kiosk from where the call was initiated. The agent can also ‘put a kiosk on hold’ while interacting with a second kiosk. It is also possible to transfer a call to another agent and to place the kiosk Out of Service (for instance when the ‘kiosk-service’ is not available). Optionally sessions may be recorded.
The non-PTZ camera angle can be adjusted easily to ensure best possible image framing for tall and shorter agents
A laptop can be placed directly in front of the unit. This is a handy and convenient setup in case the agent is expected to share content and/or if it is required to work in 2 applications at the same time. Thanks to the relative close position of the laptop screen, in relation to the video screen, the sensation of eye-contact for the Kiosk-user will not be jeopardized while the agent is working in the other application.
Comfortable and easy to use
The agent does not require any special training. A manual is not needed. Two buttons suffice to operate the system. The agent does not need any camera experience and it suffices to simply look at the person in front of the Kiosk to appear in perfect conditions and with genuinely aligned eye-contact. We recommend a distance of 50 to 60 cm between the agent and the front of the unit. This makes it possible to use a
standard office table.

The Eye Contact Studio assures that the presenter is captured on video by meeting the requirements of a professional television production studios. The quality of professional services are judged by what people see and the Eye Contact Studio delivers the optimal image. The agent can appear in 3D using Holographic Reality Display units, on 3D Kiosks, or on a desktop or mobile and always with genuine eye-contact. An LED light panel is held in position to provide soft lighting on the face of the presenter. This eliminates the shadows under the eyes that are a problem with typical room lighting.
Also with this Workstation, the same agent can attend many different locations. Moreover he/she can appear on BOTH 2D AND 3D Kiosks (and even on your website). Thus multi-channel compatibility. The Agents will be able to transmit to any of the 2D Kiosks and 3D Kiosk
The Teleporter 24 comes with a small table which is placed behind a standard table (75 cm high). This offers the highest level of comfort for the agent and ensures vertically aligned eye-contact. On the top screen , the kiosk user will appear while the second screen (below the video screen) is used for content sharing and
commands. Integrated lighting will make sure the agent’s is lit correctly. The system is operated using a wireless mouse.

The top-of-the line model of the Agent Workstation range is the 'Teleportation Bridge'. This 'transmission unit' generates crisp-and-clear, high guality 3D imagery and ensures a perfectly aligned eye-contact. The audio quality is impeccable. This model brings most comfort to the Agent, thanks to the 42' inch screen display. This is as good as sitting at the same table with person(s) in the remote location. The unit comes with integated lighting and with a suitable background (placed behind the agent) to maximize the 3D visual effect. The content sharing screen is conveniently placed on the table for easy access .
A directional table microphone is directly in front of the agent. However the agent can also make use of a wireless, Bluetooth headset (microphone and speaker) which is especially convenient when there are other people also
working in the same office space. The 'cladding' (i.e. outside of the unit) is available in many different finishings and colours, to ensure aeshetic integration into your 'back office' environment. Agent Workstation Audio : microphone and speakers
Selecting the right type of sound technology and audio device for your specific application is an important decision. In order to achieve the best possible experience for the kiosk user and to ensure the acceptance of your agents (to be prepared to work with the system), audio plays a key role.
This is often overlooked, but that is a mistake: bad audio, disturbing environmental factors or uncomfortable
devices will adversely affect the effectiveness and profitability of you project: audio is a mission critical component of the total solution and the overall experience. The sound quality should be of the same high level as the video. That is why Teleportel has put a lot of effort in perfecting the audio component.
