CONFERENCE CALL

Platform for Conference Calls

A conference call connects several people at the same time. Teleportel extends that same remote-communication idea into practical customer-facing solutions: virtual reception, 2D and 3D kiosks, intelligent parcel lockers, document and passport scanning, badge workflows and remotely assisted transactions.

The conference call is no longer only for business magnates. Today, remote communication can connect employees, customers, visitors and specialists instantly—and with Teleportel, that connection can also become part of a physical reception, kiosk or transaction workflow.

From conference calls to remote human serviceTeleportel combines live video interaction with kiosks, reception technology, peripherals and transaction workflows.

WHAT IS A CONFERENCE CALL?

One conversation, several participants

A conference call is a telephone call in which someone talks to several people at the same time. A call can allow the other parties to participate in the discussion, or it can be configured so that some participants listen without speaking.

01

Audio conference

Several participants communicate through a shared voice call.

02

Web meeting

Online meeting tools can add screen sharing, presentations and browser-based participation.

03

Video conference

Live video adds face-to-face communication when visual interaction matters.

BEYOND THE CONFERENCE CALL

Teleportel turns remote communication into a physical service point

Conference technology demonstrates a simple principle: people do not need to be in the same room to communicate. Teleportel applies that principle to reception desks, visitor kiosks and customer-service points where a remote employee or specialist can interact face-to-face with the person standing at the physical location.

This means remote communication can go beyond talking. A Teleportel installation can be designed around visitor assistance, identification, document handling, badge workflows and other supported transactions.

Visitor experiences for different environments

Reception requirements vary by location. Digital visitor management can support the way guests, patients, contractors and other visitors arrive in different environments.

HOLOGRAPHICAL REALITY™

Why the In-Wall™ feels different from a conventional video screen

Teleportel's patented 3D Holographical Reality™ is designed around presence rather than simply displaying a remote video feed. The receptionist appears life-sized and in 3D, with aligned eye contact, while the camera and screen remain outside the visitor's view.

The effect is intentionally different from ordinary 2D displays and from consumer “3D TV” concepts that require goggles. No glasses are needed. The objective is an immersive, authentic interaction in which the person on the other side feels much closer to being in the same room.

The sound is also positioned so that it seems to come from the person rather than from an obvious loudspeaker, reinforcing the overall sense of presence.
